The employee followed all protocols and did not enter the workplace with symptoms. Cameco is providing the affected employee with support to ensure they have the resources they need.

What a year 2020 has been. I remember many of us beginning the year with such optimism and big plans – but everything changed in March when COVID-19 began to impact the lives of every Canadian. Life hasn’t been the same since, but we still have accomplishments to be proud of in 2020 and many people to thank.

On November 27, we became aware that a third Cameco employee from Cameco Fuel Manufacturing (CFM) in Port Hope has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was last at work on November 24 and did not enter the workplace with symptoms. Cameco is providing the affected employee with support to ensure they have the resources they need. Our thoughts are with them and we hope that they recover well.
