Cameco’s Fund for Mental Health opens 2025 application period with over $25,000 available for local mental health initiatives

Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) For the fourth consecutive year, Cameco is offering local charities, community groups and organizations the opportunity to apply for funding through the Cameco Fund for Mental Health. Over $25,000 is available to support mental health initiatives in the Blind River area. The application period for the fund opens on October 1, 2025.

In May, Cameco held its 4th annual Cameco Charity Golf Tournament, raising over $25,000 with a sold-out tournament, generous sponsorship, and donations at the Huron Pines Golf and Country Club. This year’s event raised over six thousand dollars more compared to 2024.

Since it launched in 2022, the Cameco Fund for Mental Health has raised over $75,000. To date, 15 local mental health programs and initiatives have received funding in the community.

At the centre of a thriving community is the well being of its residents,” said Terry Davis, general manager of Cameco’s Blind River Refinery. “Supporting mental health initiatives and programs allows us and our community partners to support meaningful change by investing in community-based and accessible mental health resources benefitting adults, children, families, and our community as a whole.”

The Cameco Fund for Mental Health is managed through the Saskatoon Community Foundation. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of local mental health professionals and representatives from Cameco. The grant application is open to registered charities, non-profits, and organized groups. The deadline for online applications is 5 p.m. on October 31, 2025.

All funds will be distributed to organizations undertaking projects that promote or protect mental health in Blind River and area.
