Positive Case at Port Hope Conversion Facility

April 23, 2021

Yesterday afternoon we were informed that an employee from our Port Hope Conversion Facility (PHCF) has tested positive for COVID-19. We are providing the necessary support to ensure they have the resources they need during this difficult time and wish them a good recovery.

The employee has not been in the facility for over a week. This case is not connected to the cases identified at PHCF on April 12 and 15.

Two employees have been identified as high-risk contacts by the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit and are required to isolate and will be tested for COVID-19. There is no impact to operations.

The health and safety of all our employees remains our top priority. We are working with our company medical team and public health authorities and continue to follow their guidance.
