Driving With Ease Thanks to Cameco
Residents of the Algoma Manor in Thessalon held a celebration when the van arrived and invited some Cameco employees to show their appreciation.
Residents of the Algoma Manor in Thessalon, only 55 kilometres from Blind River, received a brand new van thanks to employees at Cameco's Blind River Refinery. Through their annual employee giving campaign, they raised a record $60,000 for Algoma Manor so they could purchase a new wheelchair accessible van.
It's a hassle and costly to book a bus that is wheelchair accessible. Having a van now makes it easier to go shopping or even out for coffee.
The manor held a celebration when the van arrived and invited some Cameco employees to show their appreciation. The residents each got a chance to say why they loved the van and expressed their thanks to Cameco.
