The Cameco Blind River Refinery is hosting its inaugural Charity Golf Tournament at Huron Pines Golf & Country Club on August 19, 2022 in support of Cameco’s Step Up for Mental Health initiative.

The Cameco Fund for Mental Health has awarded nine grants totaling $43,000 to organizations in Northumberland County working on mental health projects. This year’s grants will benefit a wide range of people including students and youth, families, front line workers at local agencies, and more.

Each organization will receive $50,000 to help them build and sustain the vital services they provide which help to address and support people experiencing difficult circumstances.

Cameco announced that the Cameco Charity Golf Package and the Virtual Step Up for Mental Health 5K event have raised over $43,000 for the Cameco Fund for Mental Health. The fund is now open for applications for organizations working on mental health initiatives in Northumberland County and area.
